Born 1966. Works and lives in Copenhagen

Education: Danish Design School in 1990.
 
In the period 1996–2004 he was the head of department of glass and ceramics at Danish Design School, Copenhagen.
 
His work is represented in museums and private collections such as V&A Museum, London, Musée Magnelli, Vallauris, France, Museum of Art and Design, Hamburg, Germany, Icheon World Ceramic Center, Korea and Design Museum Denmark, Copenhagen, Trapholt Art Museum, Denmark. The New Carlsberg Foundation, Denmark and Annie and Otto Detlef’s Collection, Denmark.
 
Recent exhibitions include: “It’s a small world” at Expo 2010 in Nordic Light House, Shanghai, in Curitiba Design Biennale in Brazil and in Santiago, Chile. 2010 and the following solo shows in BN24 Art Gallery, Hamburg, Germany 2009, NeC Gallery, Paris, France 2010/2011, Dock-56 Art Gallery, Hamburg, Germany 2010/11.
 
Steen has permanent galleries in Hamburg and Paris. Steen is invited to open NeC Gallery in Hong Kong in 2012 with a solo exhibition.
